Fixing Black Screen and “Fatal error… param” Error in Resident Evil 0 HD Remater
What you need to do is locate the config file for the game and make an edit, however, to do this, you must first change your computer’s settings so that you can view hidden folders on your computer as you’ll need to find the AppFolder.
To view hidden files/folders on Windows 7 :
- Click the Start icon and select Control Panel.
- Choose Appearance and Personalization.
- Select Folder Options. A new screen should appear.
- Choose the View tab.
- Under Advanced Settings, select Show hidden files and folders and click OK.
Now that you have done that, navigate to :
C: \ Users \ NAME \ AppData \ Local \ CAPCOM \ RESIDENT EVIL 0 HD REMASTER \ config.ini
Replace “NAME” with the name of your computer.
Open the config.ini file and change the resolution to something that works with your monitor. You can also change to window mode when playing the game. You can keep lowering the resolution if the problem does not go away when trying to launch the game.
